Who we are
Banana Bros is a children's creative brand run by two brothers and managed by their parent, who is responsible for this website and for any information sent through it. Contact the parent using the form on the For Parents page.
Our approach for children
- You can use the whole site without an account, and we never ask children to sign up.
- There are no comments, chat or messaging on this site.
- We don't ask for a child's name, age, school or location, and we never need them to browse or order.
- We don't publish the brothers' surnames, schools, addresses, timetables or other identifying details.
- We don't show advertising and don't use tracking for advertising.
Information we collect
When you contact us
The contact form is for adults. It asks for your name, email address, what your message is about, and your message. We use these only to reply to you and to handle your enquiry or order. The form is processed by our website host (Cloudflare) and forwarded to the parent's email using Zoho Flow and Zoho Mail.
When you order
If you buy a piece or send support, you pay on Paystack's secure page (Mobile Money or card); we never see or store card or Mobile Money PINs or full card numbers. We receive your email address and, if you give them, your name, phone number and town, and use them only to send the parent a record of the payment and, for a purchase, to arrange delivery. A record of the payment (reference, piece and amount) is kept by our website host for up to 7 days while the payment is confirmed, and Paystack keeps its own records under its privacy policy.
Technical information
Like every website, our host receives basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. The contact form keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to a day to limit spam.
Embedded YouTube videos
Videos on this site don't load anything from YouTube until you press play; before that, only a still picture is shown. When you press play, the video plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies. Links that open YouTube itself take you to YouTube's site.
Analytics and cookies
This website doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics at the moment. If the parent decides to add privacy-friendly analytics later (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies), this section will be updated first to say what it measures.
How long we keep information
We keep messages for up to 12 months after we have dealt with your enquiry, then delete them. Records of purchases and payments are kept for as long as Ghana's tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it, by contacting the parent. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission.
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes, and show the date at the top.
